It sucked. My dog peed on me and my dry clean only coat, I got called up for election duty, and my husband has an all company meeting tomorrow to discuss the financial state of the company.
Not a great day. Still have pretty intense cramping going on and have an overall ill feeling to me. Not sure what is going on. I just hope I am not still contracting. Dr appt in morning for a follow up though.
Hoping tomorrow is a better day!

I had my first ultrasound appt today I was extra-nervous and ended up drinking almost a gallon of water pre-appointment, and the technicians were running 30 minutes late. NOT a pleasent experince holding all that in, but I did entertain the waiting room with my pee-pee dance :P
Also had a sore throat all day, but I'm trying to stick through it w/o any medicine...
my port-a-cath in my chest (for permanent IV access) broke this morning. spent all morning dealing with home nursing agency and infusion company. then got sent to the hospital... they have to (surgically) remove it and give me a different type of line (also surgical). In the meantime, I'm super dizzy without my IVs.
so, it looks like I'm getting admitted til they can switch my IV access types. I didn't expect that and I'm bumming that I didn't bring clean underwear. oops.
Its still early here so the day isnt close to being over yet ( I am in Alaska). Found out today I have 60 days not 90 to get the house packed and everything ready to move. But we wont find out where we are going for DHs next project until 2 weeks before we move. And DD is getting 3 teeth at once. Its been a busy day.

thanks for the post to vent. Sitting in a boring class right now. And the doctor renewed my anxiety over my weight!! But the baby is looking good, so I should be happy!

I slept in this morning. When I walked upstairs, (still squinty-eyed and stumbling) the living room was BRIGHT. DH had all the curtains opened and the sliding glass door open because it was the first semi-warm day we've had in months here. It was really sunny and nice. The cats were going nuts because the got to go out on the porch and enjoy the weather, so they were running all around. DH made me coffee and then made me up a dinner to take to work with me. I lounged around and watched Wife Swap till about 1:40pm. (We don't go to bed until about 4am because of our messed up work schedules.) Then I realized I was running very late so I got ready quickly and drove 45 minutes to work. It's been a busy night but all in all a nice day for me.
I had to drive 45 mins to the car dealership this morning to take in our "new" car to get some things fixed that we noticed were wrong with it, went to the mall wanted to get a maternity top for a party Sat. and a belly band and my card was giving her errors so I left, called the doc and got in to find out I have a UTI, my hubby is 2 hours late getting home and I just wanna be a BABY!!!!
Yesterday and today SUCK!!! I was at the office until 8:30 pm last night (got in around 9:00 am) and was in depositions at another attorneys office from 9:00 am this morning until 2:30 pm - we didn't break for lunch! I brought snacks along with me because I was afraid this would be the case...now I am sitting at my office and have 18 voice messages and all I wanna do is go home and curl up on the couch!!! UUUGGHHH!!!

Awww man. That sucks!
yep. I am getting admitted. it looks like they need to do surgery to take out the port. then a second to put in a hickman line in my chest. grrr...
and I think they are sending me to oncology since they have most experience with these. I don't like that floor. I typically go to 3 other floors and know all the staff.
ugh today was terrible. We had a bunch of clients coming in today and the first was scheduled for 10 a.m. (because I had about 45 minutes of work on his file before meeting with him). I came into the office at 8:45 a.m. and was barely eating breakfast when our secretary comes into my office to tell me our client was here for his 10 a.m. appointment. It was 8:48 a.m.!
So I had to send him away to go get some breakfast or something, I mean seriously he was over an hour early! So then I had to haul ass to prepare his file, and he comes back at 9:30 a.m. announcing he is back for his 10 a.m. appointment. Can't this guy tell time!?? I mean I do appreciate he was on time but anyway...
So then all the other appointments came in late and all came around lunchtime so I couldn't eat lunch until 2 p.m., at which point I was starving.
The final appointment I wasn't supposed to meet with, but my boss and the secretary come and tell me that it lloks like it's a spanish speaker consultation and that I should probably meet with them. So, I totally don't mind but I was starving and tired of being in my suit. So I go in to meet with the client and though she has a "hispanic" name she is a freaking flight attendant and speaks PERFECT english! I SO did not have to meet with her.
Then I started getting a headache and another terrible client called that I had to handle before I could eat my lunch.
The day got a little better but the phone also rang off the hook.
Wow that was a long vent. sorry.
Oh wait there's more, then my uncle's Social Security benefits were temporarily suspended for the first 3 months of 2010 because the SSA office "anticipates" his income will be a certain amount of money for all of 2010 so they have to deny his benefits. The truth is he will be making less than half of what they "estimated" so they are completely wrong! And of course being the only attorney in the family, my job is to appeal the decision. Ok now I'm done.
I had my second BIG u/s today. It's official, we're having a girl. She did the whole bottom pose so it was VERY obvious. LOL. All in all a good appointment!

(and hi fellow attorney anvloskme!)
) Seriously, this is the story of my life at work these days!!! We can't do every thing for every one ALL of the time! Why is that so hard to understand?!?!? I am going to go back to work modified part time after baby comes...we'll see if that will be a reality or not (plan on going in to the office 3 x per week and working from home one day per week). What are you plans? I work a ton of hours now, but they are really self imposed...

Well I get my 6 weeks paid maternity leave then i'll be back full time. Even though work is crazy for me (I'm a bankruptcy attorney) I try not to work much past 6 pm so I'm lucky in that respect. My boss is also a big family guy (has 3 very small kids) so working late is really not required. But I do work every other Saturday or so and I sometimes have to come in early.
Unfortunately I think I have to go back to work full time after 6 weeks, even though my boss says we can try to work some P/T thing if I need more time with the baby. But I can't afford to get paid P/T! I need my F/T pay!
Re: So, how was your day?
I had my 32w appt. Brylee's HB went up to 185 so I had to do the non-stress test. Turns out she's just VERY busy.
Oh and I caught a guy picking his teeth in my truck's side mirror. While I was still sitting in it
Well I hope your day gets better, or at least that tomorrow will be awesome to make up for it.
As for me, I feel better today than I have in almost 4 months, so I have no complaints... for now.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
Not a great day. Still have pretty intense cramping going on and have an overall ill feeling to me. Not sure what is going on. I just hope I am not still contracting. Dr appt in morning for a follow up though.
