my DD has RSV

Went to the doc today and found out my dd has RSV, she has to do breathing treatment 4x a day! we cought is early so that is the only up side to the situation!! the pedi's office was insane today, they life lighted one baby to the hospital bc he wasnt breathing and then took another to the hospital by ambulance!!  So sad seeing my DD not feeling well!

DS has it too. I feel your pain. He just stares at me a screams when I am doing his breathing treatment. It's like he is saying "Mommy! Why are you torturing me? You're supposed to love me!" I know it is all in my head and I am doing it to make him feel better, but that doesn't make it any easier!

Hope those other LOs in your pedi's office will be okay and your DD feels better soon!

If it makes you feel better, the crying actually helps them take in good doses of the medicine.  At least that's what they told me when DS was in the hospital for RSV in January.  He has developed another congested cough, so we are now the proud owners of our own nebulizer and he is back on breathing treatments 4 times a day, along with antibiotics for his ear infection.

Sorry to hear. How did you know it is worse than just a regular cough? My and both my boys had a cold that is a full blown horrid cough. I was just wondering when I should be concerned for the lo since he can't tell me he is having any issues
