It depends - if it was a nice name, just NMS, then I probably would just tell them it's cute. 

If it's something completely bizarre that makes me feel sorry for their offspring, then I might say something.

I have had way too many people IRL comment on my name...like "Kate, that is it, not Katherine" or my dad's favorite line "You know everyone will call her Katie anyway"...to which I respond yeah, like Jon and Katie plus 8 right? (not that I am naming my daughter after her or like her in any way)

Drives.Me.Nuts.

However, for some reason the bump comments don't really bother me...I take it as constructive and trying to help.
