It looks like there will be twins on tonight, and they looked on the small side.

Is it bad that I hope they show all the scary preemie stuff? I feel like that would definatley make kids think twice about getting pregnant...

I hope it scares teen girls to death.  I think the show usually does a pretty good job of showing how hard it can be to have a child, I always wonder how many girls still think it looks like "fun" because you might get to be on MTV.

Did you see the promos for the one in the NICU? It's definitely not the twins, and I'm not sure if she's even a preemie. She looks a little small, but bigger than my DD was at any rate and the nurse says shes "very sick". Regardless, it'll be really interesting to see that episode for sure.

I first blew that show off as another cheesy exploitative MTV show, but I watched almost every episode from last season and I have to say, I really liked it.  I thought they did a pretty good job depicting what life as a teen mom could be like.  I really felt for those moms....especially Macy and the couple that put their baby up for adoption.  I haven't seen this season's previews.  I wonder how they will handle a NICU baby.

It seems like that poor girl doesn't have a lot of support, either. She's also the one with the promo where she's arguing into the cell phone with the baby daddy trying to get him to believe it's his kid. What a tough life that poor baby's going to have

That show is so sad! The worst part is that probably most girls who see it think "it won't happen to me."

I have a friend who runs a bible study, and a girl in the group is pregnant. She is 15, trying to pass 9th grade for the second time, her sister is 19 and has 2 kids, and it's just a really sad situation. I gave her a bunch of maternity clothes, but I really want to adopt her and the baby...

So I just watched the episode and I was thinking...most of the taping seems to start towards the end of the pregnancy. This one started at 34 weeks. So I think the odds of a preemie (at least one younger than 34-35 weeks) being shown is pretty slim.
