Pregnant after a Loss

i do not like the beband

What am I doing wrong? The thing rides up, exposing the fact that I can no longer zipper my pants. Not really the look I was going for. I could have done that for free. But I can see why people use the beband as a makeshift bra. That's comfy.

Re: i do not like the beband

  • i?ve always hated those things and didn?t even bother getting one this time. that?s about annoying - the rolling stuff. the hair-tye around the belt loop thing worked just fine for me. Or the unbutton and roll, which I am utilizing today.

  • This was my problem with it as well. For me I think it is because my hips and ass_ are wider than my waist so it would just roll. I had to constantly readjust it. No

  • Someone suggested putting it on first, then your pants, the folding the top over your pants. In theory sandwiching your pants waistband between to beband. It has made a huge difference. I hope that helps!

  • i use mine more now in 3rd tri than i did in 1st and 2nd.  my maternity pants always seem to fall down throughout the day when the top part gets kinda stretched out, so wearing the bella band on top of the maternity pants works better for me.

Lol. Sorry it's not working for you. I have no experience with it...

this sort of works... but I just wear my normal low-rise jeans, with the hair tie thru the button hole, and long sweaters... much easier and much comfier...

    This.  I hated it!!!

I think I used it all of 3 times and that was only to layer tank tops... it had nothing to do with covering my pants because my asss and hips are too big

I think I love you. If I wasn't already in sweatpants (and at the chiro) I'd try it out right now.

This is the only way that I use it. I also typically layer a tank top under my winter sweaters. I put the tank on, then the be-band (so it stays in place & doesn't move against my skin), then put on my pants, and fold down the band over the waist band. It makes for a production every time I pee, but maternity pants are still too big.

This... it is not made for ladies that are pear shaped.  This time around I just went straight to the maternity pants.

  • I hated it too. I had the same exact problem, I felt like I was adjusting it all day long. It rode up all the time. I used it for about 2 weeks then said forget it and bought mat jeans.
  • I wore it once last time when I went to a garden center w/ my MIL.  It suddenly rolled up like a window shade and formed a ring around my real waist (above my belly button).  I had to walk bow-legged as my pants were falling down.  There was no bathroom and no place to go to privately "adjust".  Plus it was before my MIL knew, so I didn't want her to find out.

After that I was a rubber band person.  This time I had no problems jumping to my comfy maternity pants.  I never tried the trick mentioned above.  It's tempting to try it!

  • I HATED mine for a long time until I grew enough for it to do the job properly.

I'm 20 weeks but still not big enough for maternity clothing, but too big for my reg. stuff....I've had to rely on my belly sock to cover my bright pink underwear from showing out from under my unzipped pants!

  • Thats cuz at like 15w you can prob move to maternity pants. I rocked the bellaband from like week10-16. but around 14 it started pissing me off. (riding up, etc)

ETA: get the full panel maternity pants and fold the panel over like yoga pants. way more comfy.

This is the only way I ever wore it, and it worked for me.  I didn't love it, though and I just bought mat. pants instead.

That sounds perfect. I'm going to give the band another try this week, but Saturday, I'm totally buying some mat pants.

I layer tanks under almost everything too.  I'll try this tomorrow.  Thanks!!  :-)
