  • I am not sure what reasonable is to you as I think all spa services are usually expensive.  Personally, I love FX Studios in Hunt Valley for spa services and feel very pampered there.  They have a nice spa waiting room, lockers, they give you whatever you want to drink, alcohol included, plus Coldstone icecream!  You can also go early and use other services like the theatre room and watch a movie. I don't know much about their pregnancy packages though.  I have also been to About Faces in Timonium, Lynn's Day Spa in Columbia, Spa in the Valley in Hunt Valley, and Renaissance Spa in Cockeysville and would recommend FX above all of those places.  However, I think Lynn's is probably the cheapest in terms of packages so you might want to start there.

  • It's not any cheaper than anywhere else, but I recently went to Apothecary Wellness in Federal Hill... a little rowhouse converted to a spa. Beautiful, really nice owners, great work :)

  • I don't know of many places that will do a pregnancy massage if that's what you're looking for.  My DH set me up for one through my OB's office though.  If you're interested in a PM, I'd check them out.  It's OB Specialists of Maryland.  Just do a google search & you should find their website with their phone number (don't know it off the top of my head, sorry!)

If you're looking for regular stuff like getting your nails done, any nail salon should be ok.  I'd try & hit one in the morning so there's less fumes in the air from a days worth of nail painting.

When I was 22 weeks pregnant, I really wanted a pregnancy massage and looked into most of the area ones.  Most bigger name spas do, in fact, offer pregnancy massages.  They ask that you wait until after 12 weeks at most and some require a doctor's note. You will definitely be hard pressed to find a place that will allow you on your stomach.  They will do it while on your back and then move you side to side with lots of pillows.

  • The Pearl Spa at the Ritz Residence downtown is amazing.  I've only had a facial there but the facility is so nice.  I didn't find the prices anymore expensive than anywhere else I've been
