Re: Funniest thing your kid has thrown a tantrum over...

  • D has a fit every other day because we won't let him touch the thermostat.  All because DH was holding him once about a month ago while he adjusted the schedule.  How the kid still remembers is beyond me.
  • Loading the player...
  • Because the cat walked by her, looked at her, and walked away.  Not sure what she was expecting, but she was obviously wanting more.  She screamed and cried and pointed.

    hahah, they're bff's.

    Hilarious about the prunes.

  • I walked past the light switch and wouldn't let him touch it.

  • Kitty would not look where Madi was pointing, so she threw herself to the ground and screamed axe-murder for about 20 minutes. Afterwards she gave "boo" a kiss and moved on like nothing happened. Boo (Bandit) is our orange tabby who got her mad in the first place...

  • DD throws an all out fit when we tell her she can't play in the garbage.  Yes, the garbage...gross!  Why she wants to play in there is beyond me.

  • Because she couldn't have any more Motrin. She loves that stuff!
  • Because he wanted his eggs on a spoon, not a fork. Major meltdown, EPIC proportions, at dinner the other day. DH and I were just staring at him open-mouthed because we couldn't believe it.

  • Oh jeez, I have a list. Here are a few:

    - I wouldn't let him play with the yogurt container

    - I wouldn't let him play with a live microphone at a coffee shop

    - I took his milk sippy cup away from him this morning because it had been sitting out for an hour. He wasn't drinking out of it, he apparently just wanted to hold it.

    - And finally, he threw a huge tantrum when he bumped his head on the floor during the medium tantrum he was throwing.

  • K had an epic meltdown in the car because we were driving along an inlet and she started screaming "Want to go play in da wata!" Sorry sweetie, it's January, freezing and DIRTY. And not the beach!

  • He wanted to touch the giant Red Robin statue at Red Robin restaurant, and I wouldn't let him because it was directly over someone's table.
  • My DS is very particular about how his food is presented. You can't cut up a banana, string cheese, etc. You have to present it to him whole and let him take bites.

This morning the top of his granola bar fell off. It was the last bar so I had no way to "fix" it. He freaked out. Ran screaming into the other room, where he jumped up and down for several minutes, then flopped on the floor in a heap of tears.

I have no idea where he got this from. But it's hilarious.

  • Epic and tragic is how I describe DD's tantrums...

She got mad because I wouldn't let her have milk in a regular cup (vs. a sippy) in the living room.

She was so mad after that, in fact, she wouldn't take a vanilla wafer from me, and those are her favorite--her feelings were so hurt.

     Yes, it was hilarious!

  • Um/... she has a fit for just about everything.

  • These are all great. Another thing he does, if he is mad that because he wants me to hold him or give him a hug (and I am trying to do something else and can't immediately get to him) and starts tantruming, when I come over to give him a hug, that usually makes him even angrier. Toddlers....

  • DD was cramming Cheerios in her mouth by the handful, to the point of barely being able to close it.  I took the bowl away, telling her she needed to eat what she had before taking more.  She burst into tears, mouth wide open, with half-chewed cheerios falling down the front of her.  It was gross, but pretty darn funny.  I mean, come on, it's not like she had room for more or anything!

  • Because I wouldn't let him take his fork with him after dinner.

Because I wouldn't let him lick the couch.

Because I wouldn't let him color on the TV.

Because I wouldn't let him carry the toilet brush around the living room.

Because I asked him if he liked sock monkey... and apparently he didn't.

The list goes on and on!
