For Mommies with SO's...

Do you sometimes feel like you're a single parent...even if you're not?

I have a wonderful hubby...but he's not very "hands-on" with DS.  At all.  Plus he goes to school 2 nights a week and isn't home until after DS is asleep.  The nights he is home through the week he's usually sitting at his laptop doing homework.

I do EVERYTHING for DS....everyday.  It would just be nice to have a break every now and again.  Even though if I had the chance to let DH do it all...DS would still want me.

::sigh::

(I'm all about sighing today)

  • Yes, a lot of the times I do.  I'm sure married moms feel that way too though.

    I can say he's more hands on than some dad's I know.  Daddy watches his little girl on Friday since he's off that day (3 day weekends must be nice!). He's not affraid to change a diaper, but usually only changes them on Fridays only.

    I had a talk with him a while ago. I told him I didn't really have my dad around to do things with me even though they were and still are married. But I would really like it if you would spend daddy/Hannah time alone every now and then, especially when she's older. I want them to be close un like me and my dad.

  • Yes. It sucks. I have a lot of pent up anger and resentment because of it as well.

    this is me. I broke down yesterday over the amount of work that I have to do. I don't have a minute to myself.

    I don't feel appreciated and it's really hard on me, I didn't even get a card for Valentine's day. Oh well, I guess this turned into a mini rant for me. Embarrassed
