hmmm, not sure if there is a "supposed" to be. i think it depends on what you started with. i started at 3.5cm, and put in hosp at 23w at 1.9cm (funneling). i remember hearing something about under 2cm isn't good, but not sure if that corresponds to how far along you are.
My peri told me that anything over 3cm is great, 2-2.5 would mean modified bed rest and anything under 2cm would probably be strict/hospital bed rest. So far, I'm hanging on to 2.25 cm.
I'm under 2, which is short. My OB said around 34 weeks he doesn't care what my cervix measures and there will be no restrictions. So I think it still matters at 30 weeks, but less in about a month.

My peri must be going rogue...my cervix is just under 2 and she's got me limiting my activity but no imposed bed rest. With that said I have been super freaking active. Some kind of activity 4 - 5 days a week: yoga, swimming, long walks AND I flew to coast to coast at 28 weeks, with all that traveling entails, and took my 2-year old neice to the zoo for 3 hours one of the days I was in CA. I felt so good and strong that I didn't really chill out as much as I guess I should have. I'm lucky these babies haven't fallen out of me by now.
My doc may not have put me on strict bed rest but DH and I decided that gravity is not doing me any favors so I've been horizontal for the past few days. I'm glad I have a long Netflix queue and a bunch of twin baby books left to read and you girls to socialize with.
Thanks for your feedback...cheers to cooking these kids for another 6 - 10 weeks.
