AW: Jack can sign...sort of.

We have been teaching him the "more" sign for about a week now and today he finally did it, sort of.  Instead of touching his finger tips together he basically claps, but for him that means more because he opens his mouth really wide for a bite after he does it.

Are their any of you ladies that are doing signing?  What signs are you concentrating on?

    For about 2 months we've been working on milk, water, more, eat, and all done.  The only one she's gotten is milk.
    BFP#1: 9.16.08 DD: 5.28.09
    BFP#2: 7.10.11 MMC: 8.3.11 D&C: 8.29.11
    BFP#3: 12.5.11 MC: 12.22.11
    BFP#4: 2.14.12 MMC: 3.8.12 D&C: 3.13.12 Loss due to Trisomy 16
    BFP#5: 6.11.12 MC: 6.28.12 Loss due to Triploidy
    RPL BW, Sonohystogram, Chromosome testing on DH and myself = everything is normal
    BFP#6: 12.4.12 EDD: 8.16.13
    Things I did different with this pregnancy:
    1. Waited TTC until after I had 3 normal menstrual cycles.
    2. Got a new OB - amazing man who listened!
    3. 200 mg progesterone until 12 weeks
    4. Daily lovenox injections

    Yay!  Isn't that so fun??

    We haven't really started signing with DS2, but we did with DS1.  For a while we focused on more and all done.  Once he got those we did milk, eat, kitty, and then he sort of started picking up on all of them!  It's sort of like their spoken vocab, one day it just blossoms.  He started making up his own signs for words he didn't know, etc.

    If you haven't already, you may want to look into the Signing Time DVDs.  The kids LOVE them! (I would start with the very first one, My First Signs)

    I focused more on signing with Kate, but Ben knows MORE and ALL DONE.  Those were the most useful ones, in my experience.  We also did eat, drink, and sleep, and Kate would make up her own signs for words she couldn't say. 

    Way to go, Jack!
