Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I wish there was a carseat board on the bump.

Because I want to AW that I just installed my new sunshine kid radian xtsl rock solid in both our cars.

I ordered it online, and it came while I was on vacation. I've waiting two weeks to install it. I've also heard a lot of installation horror stories with the skr. It took all my weight, strength and patience,  but it fits!

I also learned something new. I had to twist the seat belt stalk one turn to get it tight enough.

  • Oh, AW away.  I'm just starting to think about convertible car seats, so I'm all ears/eyes.

  • Good job!  I agree, there should be a carseat board and I too recently learned about twisting the stalk from www.car-seat.org, they have really helpful info!

I like the skr. It's huge!!! It will last until booster age, and it's great for ERF. The XTSL and 80SL have weight limits of 45 RFing and 80 FFing, and I believe it's the second highest shell. It fit into my tiny car in the middle. It fit on the sides, but it'd leave the front with no leg room. Although, our infant seat left no leg room either. I really like it, but I understand why people say it's a PITA to install.

I also have a Britax Roundabout, but it's so tiny and almost outgrown RFing. I want to get a Britax Marathon because they are easy to install in a hurry.

  • Hear that Bump Gods?  Car seat board is needed please
  • A car seat board would be fantastic... but I guess it would fall in the "Nursery and Baby Gear" board, right?

We ended up getting a Britax Marathon CS yesterday with BRU's trade-in deal.  We traded in our bassinet (which was damaged) and only expected 25% off. But, apparently, the seat was a clearance item?not sure why, it was manufactured last month?and the price went from $299.99 to $219.99 and THEN the 25% off ($55).   So we paid $164.99 plus tax for the convertible car seat.  Not too bad.

Is it on clearance at all BRU? BRU is a drive for us, and TRU doesn't have Britax. I still really want a Marathon!!! I just keep telling myself to wait until DS outgrows our Roundabout.
