Mitchell had his Valentine's party at daycare Friday afternoon. Friday night I asked was asking DH about the party. I noticed Mitchell didn't bring home a bag so I asked if he got one. Apparently someone stole his and one of the baby's bags. DCP had the bags in the bedroom and one of the school aged kids kept going in there to "look at his cards". He left with a bag that was a lot more full than she had filled it... She didn't say anything to his mom because she gets super defensive about her son.

Not that Mitchell needed the cards and candy, but the fact that someone stole from my baby really makes me sad

That's awful!  I don't understand the need to steal at all.  Even for little kids.  I would have said something to his mother anyway whether she is defensive about her kid or not.  She needs to know and have a talk with him about taking what's not yours.

Yes and if the DCP didn't want to say anything to the kids mom then I would have.

I'm with you. I don't care how defensive this klepto's mom is, I'd let her know what happened. Something like that has to be nipped in the bud, and I'll be damned if my child is the one that gets ripped off.
