Good 1st b-day gifts for boys???

I have a little girl as do most of my friends.  I can't seem to think of a good 1st b-day gift for a boy.  What are your LO's favorites?

    He also loves the quatro legos, his little people farm, and the chuck and friends mini cars by tonka.

    At Target they have a brand that is called B. (I think. It used to be the Parents Brand) They have a toy cell phone that DS adores. It comes in a bunch of different styles/patterns and is only $10. They also have a matching set of toy car keys.

    I usually get our little boy friends either Mega Blocks or Little People and you're always safe with books & puzzles.
