Operation Convertible Carseat: FAIL!

We attempted to install them this weekend...wow, are we inept!!! Luckily it ended with no temper tantrums (for us, not DD - she was napping during the debacle). Unfortunately it also ended with us leaving the seat installed to the best of our ability (read: not very well at all) in the center seat and us re-installing the base on the drivers' side so that I can call and have them 'inspect' (read: install) the convertible for us. Major parenting fail!!

Re: Operation Convertible Carseat: FAIL!

  • I hate carseat installations.  If it wasn't for DH, I'd never have the patience to figure it out.  Our Evenflo Symphony was fairly easy to install, but the one in MIL's car (First Years True Fit, I think) was a huge PITA.  I may leave them rear-facing for as long as possible just because I don't want to reinstall them.

  • Welcome to my world. We're about to purchase our THIRD attempt at a convertible. And we're only getting one initialling which means DH and I will be switching it out frequently.

Oh yeah...we won't be taking them out anytime soon after they're installed correctly...and not just b/c DD is nowhere near close to the 20 lbs. she needs to be anyway.
