hospital classes?

What hospital classes did or do you plan to take? ?Our hospital offers like 4 different courses that all sound important. ?(childbirth, breastfeeding, baby care, infant safety). ?I know it is a matter of personal preference, but do you think they are all necessary. ?What did you find most helpful?

DH and I are currently taking a childbirth edu class, and we're going to take a breastfeeding class and baby safety. Frankly, I would probably take all 4 classes, but then I always liked school. Hee hee. Seriously, though - anything to try to have some semblance of preparation, y'know?

I probably would take all of them too. When we took ours Childbirth, infant care and infant safety were bundled together and I took a BF'ing class on my own. I specifically recomend whichever class will teach you infant CPR and rescue. Actually I don't think anyone should be allowed to leave the hospital without proving they can do basic rescue moves (thats the paramedic in me talking...to many horror stories where parents had no idea what to do. Very sad!)

We're currently in childbirth class.  I also want to take the breast feeding and infant care classes.

I think they're all necessary for the firstborn at least.  Our classes came in one package: childbirth, breastfeeding, baby care and infant safety.  So we're taking all of them.
