Diaper cover question

For those that use prefold diapers, how many diaper covers did you get to use with them?  I am looking at buying the thirsties diaper covers and was trying to decide how many I should get.  Thanks!!

We have 10, but I hear that is excessive  I just really like cute covers.

We don't use prefolds anymore, just pockets, but we had 4 covers and that worked ok for us.  we used the pockets with them, too.  DS also pooped a TON then because he was so little, so the covers got dirty pretty quick.

I have the thirsties covers.  We have 6 or 7 and it seems to work fine.

Okay, thank you ladies for your help.  I just had no idea how many to order.  I am going to start with four to make sure that I like them and then go from there.

I would probably get between 6-8 that's usually the recommendation my sister used and she runs a diaper service. I'd probably start with 6 and if you feel you need more you can always get more.

I have 5 thirsties 2 bumkins and 1 bummis... I like the thirsties the best - but the others are nice for different reasons.
