Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Bob strollers-are they worth it?

I am thinking of getting a City mini for everyday use and a Bob stroller for long walks as DH and I are big runners.

Does anyone have the Bob and recommend it or any feedback?

At what age would you feel safe to put the baby in there and go for a jog?

Thanks!

Re: Bob strollers-are they worth it?

  • I love the Bob.  DD just got big enough to put her in it without the infant car seat and it's amazing. I run half marathons to train and it's perfect!  (I use on paved roads and gravel paths)
  • We started using it without in infant insert when DS was 5 months or so, though I haven't used it for running yet - maybe in another month or so. It's great in the snow (well, as great as a stroller in the snow can be) & on gravel, etc.

  • I have the double bob and love it.  The ride is super smooth.  My DD is now almost 9 months old and I would feel comfortable taking her on a run in it.  I think they recommend 6 or 7 months for running.
  • Love the BOB, it's been so worth it for us.  Such a smooth ride and the turning is really impressive and tight, which I didn't expect.  We started using it was DS was ~5 months, but just as a regular stroller.  He was too little and then it got cold for running, so hopefully in a few months we'll be using it for jogging.
