2 different Baby monitors in the house---interference questions

We have a split bedroom plan where both secondary bedrooms are all the way across the house from ours (ranch style) so we still use a monitor for DS#1 and will continue to for a few years since he is getting sneakier as he gets older.

For DS#2, should I buy the same brand of monitor or something totally different?  I am concerned about interference/screeching.  Do you think as long as I leave it on a different channel, that it will be interference/screech free?

Get a digital one and you won't have a problem.
