Can teething cause a lack of appetite?

G has been very disinterested in food (bottle and solids) the past few days. She is more willing to eat the solids, but still not chowing down like she normally does. However, she has been chewing on her hands HARD and her gums are getting pretty bumpy so I think we have teeth on the way. Is it possible that her teeth are causing her to not feel hungry?

I did notice a slight decrease in appetite when LO's 1st tooth came in, keep your eyes peeled!

DD wasn't too big on her bottles when her teeth were breaking through.

The sucking on bottles can cause discomfort with the gums/nerves so it is normal for them to especially not be interested in bottles.

This makes me feel better about my own DD - she's so not into her bottles right now.

My son is getting 4 teeth right now and has only taken 10-15 ounces of formula and has decreased solids as well.

It is a struggle to get DD to take a bottle when she's teething.

DD did this while see was teething. Refused the bottle and solids,she only wanted to nurse.GL
