a west coast frustration

why is it that I live 2 hours from Vancouver, am in the same time zone, but am watching the opening ceremony now (it started at 9)? why is it so delayed? I opened up the computer and it had all these opening ceremony spoilers on the front page. I don't get it. Any tv knowledgeable peeps want to help me out? why cant we just see it in real time LIVE?

I posted this on 12-24 earlier.  lol.  it's annoying and i'm going to have to avoid this place the entire time so as to not spoil any events that i like to watch.

yes, fannin, someone that understands! I never get it. Why is Jay Leno and formerly Conan filmed in LA, but not shown until past midnight here? But when I lived in Houston it came on at 10:35, lol. Doesn't make any sense!?!! I always end up getting spoiled by the bump. Dont check on here during the American Idol finale or the bachelor finale. haha!

Welcome to my hell, Fanni! I almost lost my sh!t last year during the American Idol finale. I was still at work, bumping and they were posting crap about who won! FUUUUUK. LOL

i mean, it was bad in denver, but not this bad!  so when my mom calls me at 8 pm her time to tell me what happened at the end of a show that started at 7 her time, which is 6 my time...and that same show doesn't start until 8 my time, which is 9 her time.....even though it's a hour difference, its TWO HOURS for tv world. 

oh, I had a friend call me from the east coast to tell me that david cook won a/i.  it has JUST STARTED in denver.  I was so pissed.

I KNOW! I live in Washington state, and I feel like because we are the same time zone as the olympic events we should be able to see them live. It's so unfair that the East coast gets to see the opening ceremony live. Lame.
