I used the vinyl labels from Stuck on You.  They're very cute, colorful, and work, really well.

I used the ones from Stuck On You too.  Never had them come of of bottles, and only now are coming off sippy cups because DS likes to pick at them.  They're great!  And done fine in the dishwasher.

I too just used blue painters tape...comes off real nice
