Is there a cut-off age for bikinis IYO? JW!

I only thought of this because of the previous post, not because I think anyone on here is too old to wear a bikini, I swear!

My mom still wears one. Thats why I ask. Totally just wondering. I'm sure someone will take this post the wrong way...

Re: Is there a cut-off age for bikinis IYO? JW!

  • No, but there's a cut-off body. My mother is 61 and looks great in one.
  • I don't think it's a matter of age...it's how you look in one! ;)

there are some 20-somethings that IMO shouldn't wear bikinis.... then you have people like jennifer anniston, halle berry (along with some non-celebs too)  who are in their 40s and can rock a bikini like nobody's business!

  • I have to agree with pp that if you got it flaunt it. My mother and aunt both wear them 61 and 65 and look awesome. But just like some 21 year olds shouldn't wear them you have to have the body.
  • Yes, image

even if you are thin enough to wear one.  When things get all wrinkley, I'd move on to something with more coverage.

  • LOL, EmT! good example!

  • Bikinis are body driven, not age driven. Just because you're 20, doesn't mean you should be wearing a bikini, just like just because you're 60 doesn't mean you should coverthatshitup with a skirt.

You know whether or not you have any business wearing a bikini.

  • My mom still rocks one (59) and looks hot. She only wears it at her pool or around family and close friends. If she goes to the beach she wears a tankini becuase she feels thats appropriate.

If you got it flaunt it!

  • I'm not sure. I still wear one but I could see a day when I' have to retire it.
  • I could rock a bikini, but  I have a cut off age.  I don't know what age that is yet, but when the skin starts to sag, even if I still looked thin I don't think I'd wear one.

  • Not in my opinion, but there is a hotness cutoff, ha.

  • For me there is, but I am pretty modest about clothes.  In Europe, people pretty much all wear bikinis from what I have seen, no matter the age.  I don't have a problem with it.  Honestly, I would prefer to wear a "sunshirt" and boy shorts at the beach just because I like to do things that might cause me to share too much and because I grew up at the beach in summers and have had way to much sun exposure and a family with a history of skin cancer.

This is what I'm talking about. Even if these 60 year olds can wear them, how are they not wrinkled?

  • NOt at all, it all depends on how comfy you are wearing one and for me personally, there is a certain where my body just doesn't need to be seen by others with that few clothes on but I know a lot of people that don't care what others think and wear whatever they like.  I won't wear a bikini now as I hate how my tummy looks - love tankini's but when I was in Grand Cayman a few weeks ago, I saw a ton of older women in them.  Some looked great and some not so great but to each his own.  Now the guys in the little bitty things - a no no at any age!
