Ideas to thank my neighbors?

Between my pregnancy and my husband's hockey injury, we are not able to do much lately.  Just keeping up with the 3 year old is tough!!  DH can't even put his own socks on at the moment.  So - when the blizzard hit....DH managed to get the walk and the steps done, but not the driveway and cars.  I went out this morning figuring I could get the cars at least cleaned off and moved.  My neighbor came out to help me and her husband showed up with his snowblower and did the driveway for us, so we are at least mobile again.  I am so blessed to have wonderful friends next door!!  What can I do as a thank you???  I know the husband would appreciate a case of beer or something like that, but I want to do something more.  We'd really be in trouble if they hadn't helped.

Re: Ideas to thank my neighbors?

  • What about bringing over some beer, baked ziti (or some other easy dish they can keep in the fridge/freezer and toss into the oven for dinner), and brownies?

  • My neighbor came over when I was shoveling yesterday and finshed it for me with his snow blower.  I made him a loaf of fresh bread.  I think any gesture you make would be appreciated.  Its the thought that counts!
