BFing and baby thrashing/crying?

I EBF and after about 15 min my baby sometimes thrashes around, gets very red in the face, and cries. She'll relatch and sucks for another min before repeating. I have plenty of milk and she's a great latcher. I figure it's gas, so I've given her Mylicon with no success. Propping her up to eat using the football hold seems to help, but it's not as comfortable for me. Any ideas what this is?

When my LO does that, that far into a feeding, he usually needs to burp.

My baby does this when she either has to burp or is really tired. It is usually because she is tired. I have found it helps to hold her "free" hand while she nurses and kind of rock a little bit if it's because she is tired.

Henry does this if he's really tired.  I will usually get him mostly to sleep and then let him eat.  He also had about a week where he'd do it every feeding.  I pumped and bottle fed him so I could keep my supply and he could eat.

Like PP, my LO does this when he's overtired or when he needs to burp. I usually take him off and make him take a break for awhile and that usually helps him regroup.

My LO does that when she has a wet diaper.

I find that my LO does this when he has to burp or go potty.  I will usually try burping him quickly and if that doesn't solve the problem I check his diaper.
