Anyone ever had pleurisy?

If so, wtf did you do to make yourself feel better?

My doc has me taking 800mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours. Took it at 3pm. Since then (almost 4 hours later) I've had a fever of 100-102F and the stabbing pain when I breathe is still there, and in fact, now shooting through my left shoulder.

    They thought I had it in October.  The ibuprofen didn't really help.  It helped the pain, but didn't have the anti-inflammatory effect they were hoping for.  Now it turns out it may not be that at all.  Hurts like hell though, every day.  Sure hope you find comfort sooner than I have.
