Anyone not planning on using any birth control?

DH and I used the old fashioned rhythm method before baby (hence the baby)...

The Pill never worked well for me...I would get very bad mood swings, acne, cramps, spotting, weight gain. I thought about IUD's but I read that they are not recommended for use under 2 years and we want another LO within that time. My DH is allergic to latex so condoms have always been a nuisance.

So, we were discussing the possiblity of not using anything PP. Although, we don't want another LO right away, we would welcome it with open arms.

Anyone else opting out of birth control? What made you come to that decision?

chances are if you use nothing then you will get pg again..but if thats ok with you..go for it:-)

I'm not just because we do want another next year and I don't want to risk setting myself backwards with hormonal BC. I chart, but I also have PCOS so I'm not likely to ovulate on my own. I got pregnant with Clomid.  If, by some miracle, I do ovulate on my own and got pregnant we'd be ok with it.  I did try the mini pill for about 2 weeks and it made me bleed A LOT.

I had PCOS and don't ovulate on my own.  So if it happens, we would welcome it.

I had an IUD before getting pregnant (Paragard, no hormones) and I had it in less than a year.  We are going to use condoms until DS is 6 months and then we aren't going to use anything.

We're not. I chart, and we use condoms rarely (only if  think I'n ovulating or about to). I was on BC 4 years ago and it took 4 years for my cycles to regulate enough to get pregnant. It was horrible! Plus I want to TTC#2 this year.

I am breastfeeding so we are just going to use condoms. I was on Nuva ring but I heard it can decrease my supply. Also I can't use mirena for certain reasons. So condoms it is for now. :-(

DH is planning on getting the big V, so I will not have to worry about it.  Prior to getting pregnant we also used the  rhythm method with pulling out and it worked for us for nearly 5 years until we decided it was time to get pregnant.

I also hate the side affects of the pill hence why I don't use it.

We're not.  I'm BFing and don't expect to get my period for a long time (neither my sister nor mom got theirs until they quit BFing).  I know there's a risk of course, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we got pregnant again (after a while of course).  And of course, pregnancy comes from sex, which I've pretty much forgotten how to do these days!

I hate hormonal BC so our plan is to use condoms until DD is STTN and we can do NFP again. Originally, we planned on TTC #2 next year but DH is already ready to start trying again so that might get bumped up to later this year.
