Suddenly fighting naps?

We are on day 3 of Nap Wars.  Until this week, DS did 1 short nap, a good 2 hour nap in the crib, and 2 more short naps before bed.

This week...I'm lucky to get 2 short naps!!!  He's fallen asleep on my chest and I go to put him down...bam, he's awake.  I rock him, he's drowsy, and awake again as soon as I put him in the crib.  Or on the floor, or in the swing.  He's never been the one to need to nap on a person/in a lap.

Any suggestions?  Or is this a phase that will probably (hopefully) pass?

    It must be a phase, my lo is going through the same thing! Very frustrating for my husband who has to be with him during the day and go to work at night :(

    Ah yes, so familiar with that. What helps for us is stroking DS head/face and also almost a breast feeding position where he's being held and turned belly in toward your chest.

    I posted darn near the same thing earlier today...and our LOs are only one day apart. Something's in the air!

    No suggestions, because I'm going through it, too. It's frustrating. The only thing that gets him to nap is to take put him in the carseat and take him on errands. He won't sleep at home, but he'll nap beautifully while walking through Target.
