I know I have time, but I'm starting to stress about the logistics of getting 2 carseats in my car. I've got the Graco SnugRide for the baby, and DS is rear-facing in a Britax Roundabout 50. I drive a BMW 5-series wagon. I'm hoping I'll still be able to keep W RF, but currently he's in the middle, and it seems that his seat won't fit behind one of the seats. I know the smartest thing to do would be to go out and physically put his seat behind the passenger seat, but I'm being lazy this morning. So, if you have a mid-size/large sedan, are you able to keep LO rear-facing on one of the sides? Which carseat do you have? Is there a carseat that would work better for us (I know DH would be thrilled if I bought another carseat, haha)? Thoughts?? TIA!!
Re: Carseat question...
i see you have a ticker...hmmm is it sinking in yet?
Let me know if you try the carseat thing.
Haha, well, Maggie dropped off pnv's for me this morning (I'd been taking store-bought generics), so I guess she believes it, lol!
If I can get W to actually take a nap, I'm going to go man-handle the carseat and see what I can figure out. He took a 15-minute nap early today, and now he's just grumpy as heck. Fun times.
We just got the sunshine kids Radians. We have one for both boys. DS2 is rear-facing no problem. We have a Saturn Vue, which is an SUV, but not big by any means.
DH sat in the back with them last week and he had PLENTY of room, so I know that a third would fit there too.
i also have the britax roundabout 50 and have it behind the passenger seat in our lexus rx - which is similar to a wagon just a little higher off the ground we have the seat butted up to the carseat as close as we can - and although it's touching, she's still rearfacing no problem even when my 6'4'' husband is sitting in the passenger seat...hope that helps?
Ooh, this definitely helps. I think the RX is very close in size to my car (at least the back seat)...we test-drove those before buying my car. I guess I need to just go out to the car and try it out! Thanks .
If not, I'll try out the Radian.
