I'm done! I am looking for a new job!!!!!!

I love my job and I do like my company but I am tired of being exploited.

For the 12 months prior to my maternity leave there were talks of my overdue promotion.  For 2 yrs I have been doing the job of this high position.  Then I come back and get a half-a$$ed promotion.  And come to find a week later that someone my exact equal got a better promotion.  For no reason I can control or affect.  And my boss even told me it was not a performance issue and he continues me to work at the level where I should be, while my grade, title and pay are considerably less.  Of course its far more complicated than this, but this is the basics and I am done.  So effing pissed.

As I was being told all of this it was all I could do from bursting out in tears.  (tears mostly because I am so exhausted and thus more emotional).

Done done done I am officially looking for a new job.  I don't work this hard and leave my DS every day for this bu!!sh!t!!!!!!!  Had to get this off my chest!

ETA:  Unfortunately, sometimes employers need a "push" to recognize the assets they have...maybe you turning in your resignation will do just that.

Good luck to you!  Sounds like it is time to move on.

My little sister was in the same position -- underpaid and undertitled for all the work she did and responsibility she had, and continually promised she would get promoted.  Her boss acted *totally* shocked when my sister found a better job and turned in her notice.  My sister got a big psychic boost out of that.
