Car seat and sleeping

When you bring LO home and she/he is sleeping in their car seat do you let them sleep or take them out?

We let him sleep. He usually wakes up shortly after coming home anyways!  I never mess with him when he is sleeping!

I unzip the cover and leave him in there. I make sure his head isn't too flopped over and I check on him regularly.

I used to not do this because I know it is "bad" and you're not supposed to.....however I do now. I hate to wake her up if she is actually getting a good nap. I check on her a lot more often to make sure she is breathing okay. One of those "I'm never gonna do...." but now I do

I take her out. Car seats are for cars.  I do not want this to become a habit.  She usually arouses but then puts herself back to sleep in her bassinet.

we let them sleep!!  This was part of the reason that I hesitated getting a convertible seat for DD#1 because she'd regularly fall asleep in the car and I hated the idea of waking her getting her out of it.  DD#1 would stay asleep in the seat for awhile if we let her... #2 usually wakes up within 10 minutes of being home.
