Britax Marathon vs. Evenflo Triumph Advance LX

I currently have the Evenflo Triumph for DD and I H.A.T.E it.  I hate the straps and how they are constantly getting twisted.  I can buy a new, unused Britax Marathon for DD from a friend who had an "extra" from her shower (must be nice!) for $175.  I'm not sure if I should do it.  I feel guilty because I know I already have a carseat for her, but the thought of years more of dealing with those straps is making me think I should just bit the bullet and get a new one.  Anyone have the Britax and can say it's worth the money?   TIA!

I have the Triumph and 95% of the time have no issues with the straps, but at that price I don't see why not. Trade inthe Triumph for somethign at BRU since they are still doing in the Great Trade-In event.

I had the Evenflo and ended up buying the Marathon (you can get it for $179 new- she didn't give you much of a discount!!!) I have a mini van and when DS was rear facing it was hard to get him in and out- the Evenflo is more curved. I love the Marathon and def would buy another one!

We have 2 Marathons for us and bought an Evenflo for MIL because she picks DS up from DC twice a week.  I love the Marathons, but just didn't have that kind of money to buy them (we got ours as gifts).  DH likes the Evenflo a lot better.  If you can get a new one for $175 I say do it.
