When did they change the names?

I asked the lady for a box of Samoas (with my 3 boxes of Thin Mints) and she looked at me like I had 2 heads and then said with a very snotty tone, "oh you mean the Caramel Delights."  

Yesterday, while browsing around Target, I noticed the GSC ice cream still says Samoas on it, so I know I'm not losing my mind.

When did it change?

It was Caramel Delights for us growing up.  Sounds like they're just going back to the original.  Although there may be a dark chocolate/milk chocolate difference.  I can't be sure.

There are actually 2 companies that make Girl Scout cookies.  The names are different depending on which company your girl scout council buys from.

I believe there have been multiple names for cookies for awhile, but it tends to be a regional thing.

I remember talking about this last year too.. I think someone said it depends on which factory they are coming from. Or something like that? It's dumb if you ask me, they should just keep them all the same names.

It varies more than just x-country.  In Ft. Worth where I grew up, they were Caramel Delights.  In San Antonio, they are Samoas.

I think they're still Samoas here.  I haven't received mine yet, so I can't be sure.  Can't wait though!

No wonder I never knew what Samoas were. Caramel Delights were my favorite.

I'm still not sure what they are around here, I've heard it both ways.

I ask for a box of the "carmel coconut ones" and then the little girl will correct me.
