DS is going through puppy withdrawal

My sitter had a dog named Zeus, and Quentin LOVED him.

The sitter gave Zeus away to a friend because her teenage son wouldn't take care of him like he promised.?

Quentin noticed right away, and has been a little sad the past few days.

Last night, he found a stuffed dog in his toy box, dragged it out, and named it Zeus. "Zeus? ZEUS??" He kept asking me.

He has been carrying him around with him everywhere, and even gave it a bath when he bathed (it's now in the dryer).

Poor guy. : (

I didn't think toddlers got attached to animals this young, but apparently they do.?

Poor little guy! I would hate to think what would happen if something ever happened to our dog. The kids love him so much.

aww - poor kiddo! jack is VERY attached to our dogs. he calls them (Ki-ki and Zada, for Linky and Zelda) and brings them toys and balls to chase. i think kids get attached to anything that is around a lot and interacts with them.
