She loves anything with pages to turn.  She has a laugh & learn book she adores.  It sings songs and has "pages" to turn.  The pages aren't like book pages, it's an actual toy.

This isn't a toy but my sister got her a lamb chair from pottery barn that she loves.  She crawls all over it and gives it kisses.

Books for mine, too.  She rarely plays with toys, but she'll grab her books often.  She also loves all things Elmo.

Thanks ladies!  I think we're going to get the ball popper.  I want to get him something big for outside for the spring/summer (water table, sandbox, wagon...) but that will come later since we don't have much storage space.  I just want something for him to OPEN tomorrow since it's his real b'day.

We just got DS a 10 pack of soft rubber dinosaurs (they have all different species- farm animals, water animals, etc) and he LOVES them! They are soft enough to chew on for the teething thing and easy to clean!
