NTR: building a house/selling

Unfortunately we probably would not be looking into moving/building for another 3 years or so....I wish sooner!  My original plan was to stay in our current home 5 years, we are going into our 4th as of October.

We have done some updates/remodels since moving in, but i was wondering if it would be ridiculous or premature to ask the realtor who helped us find our house to come this summer and take a look around and see if she can give us suggestions for improvements we could do over the next few years to boost the price without spending a boat load of $$?  I am not even sure that realtor is really the one to ask, but I had no idea of who else.

Again I know it seems premature, but depending on what we may need/should do, it is nice to have the time to work on it/save.

Suggestions?

I think this is a great idea, I would assume that whatever realtor you ask for help would be the one you would use to sell though!

I'm sure if you look at home magazines they are always telling you what upgrades to do and which ones to skip.  I know curb appeal is a huge one, same with kitchens.  I think This Old House has a section about this topic.

Kitchens and bathrooms sell a house. Also try to make things neutral, like paint color and flooring. Curb appeal definitely gets people into you house.
