I can't believe they sent her home from prison with those children, after having been in there for CHILD ABUSE.  And I really wonder about the case workers assigned to check up on these children.  How could abuse/neglect of that magnitude not shown up on her radar?

i'm always amazed when known child abusers are just let go willy nilly.  and it's so sad that most of the time if a kid is taken into foster care, they just go right back to the crappy life they came from.

there's a girl in town who was a going to the methadone clinic (first problem i have) to get herself off of Oxycontin (except she was taking the methadone and trading it for street drugs).  finds out she's pg and has to STAY on methadone so she doesn't miscarry and the baby doesn't go through withdraw.  the babe was born with both kidneys failing, severely addicted to methadone and they just handed her over to the mom.  the same mom would couldn't even take care of her in utero.  fast forward to when the baby is 1yo - she has to get a kidney transplant (for the failing kidneys) and after the mom is so stoned she "forgets" to give her kid the meds she has to have to stop her body from rejecting the new kidney.  the grandma finds the baby at the brink of dealth.  after she gets better - she went right back to the mom.  un-be-livable.
