Ok, so now the lovely nest won't let me PM you back (says you don't exist LOL) so I'm C&Ping myself:
thanks!
I think that's why I'm so overwhelmed by this right now, I don't feel like they gave me a strong "take-home message". The only suggestion they really made was saying that they felt he should stay with a 2 day/week program and not move into the 3day/wk program in the Fall, which presumably the rest of his classmates will do. I'm ok with keeping him back, it's just that I feel like they didn't really tell me anything. When I asked if they thought he was hyperactive and/or lacking in attention, they quickly backed off and literally put up their hands as if to say "we didn't say that", like they were afraid they were giving a diagnosis or something. I don't know, it was weird. I'm going to talk to her tomorrow, and I'm also going to have him evaluated. Thanks for listening to me whine
Hmmm. Yeah, that doesn't sound very helpful. DS's teacher was careful not to use too many technical terms that the OTs would use, but she did give us tons of information. Obviously we still need to have him evaluated so we don't know for sure what's up, but it all makes sense (even though some of it confuses me).
And I guess I'm a little confused as to why another day at school wouldn't be helpful, but who knows. I'd definitely be asking them for more information if I were you.

Ya, that's what I asked. I figured one more day of structured classroom stuff would help, but they thought he would be behind the other kids socially and that might lead to falling behind with academics.

Off to make a list of new questions for them
