Swithching to Cow's milk. What age?

What age did your pedi advise you to make the switch to cow's milk?  My pedi said now, which is after 1 year.  I was just curious to see what the majority is.  My DD was breastfed until 9 months then has been on formula.  I think I may want to continue the formula till 13-14 months.  wanted to know what you were advised. Thanks!

12 months, but you certainly won't be doing any harm by continuing formula longer... most don't because most doctors say cows' milk is fine starting at 12 months and the cost difference is significant!

Thanks!  I know the cost difference is substantial!  I think I will start gradually adding 1 oz cows milk to the formula.  Then increasing each week till it is 100% cows milk.

Our pedi said it was OK to switch at 1, but he didn't insist. We did switch, and DS took right to it.

I got the okay at 10 months because my supply was dropping and causing night wakings. It was just a little at first so he wasn't taking full sippys of it till a year.
