Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

DH bought DD's 2nd birthday gift last night.

*Sigh*

She loves her Grandpa's iPhone and loves playing the games on it (he has one whole page full of apps just for her) and watching videos, so DH decided this would be good since we can toss it in the diaper bag when we go out. As if letting her use my old MacBook to play on the kneebouncers site wasn't enough now she's going to really be a Mac Kid. Grandpa loves his Mac. Mom loves her Mac. Poor DD didn't have a chance. LOL! Anyone else have a Touch or iPhone they let their toddlers play with? Any app recs?

I do have apps on MY phone for DD that I use to keep her occupied when we are walking around Target or sitting in a Doctors office.  But I personally wouldn't have purchased a two year old an itouch of her own.   But hey, not my kid.  Hope the apps help.

Agreed! Are you trying to raise on of those kids that can not even go out to dinner with the family without their video game system or dvd player??

  • What?! Are you kidding? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

I didn't say it wasn't rediculous. And I'll probably end up using it quite a bit too for shopping lists and other apps, so it's not ALL for her but I got rid of my iPhone (I dropped it and cracked the screen) and I've been wanting a Touch to replace it so it works out.

Thanks for the recs! Yeah, I'm going to use the Touch, too (as a replacement for the iPhone I broke last year) but I know DD loves playing the games, looking at pics, watching vids, etc on her Grandpa's, so DH thinks that she will really enjoy having one she can play with, too.
