Did anyone skip the sippy entirely?!

I like the Baby Bargains book, but I give some of their advice the side eye. They suggest skipping sippies entirely and just moving straight to cups. What a mess! We let DS practice "real cups" often, only with water though. It usually ends up on him and the floor. eta: they do suggest a straw if they aren't ready, but still. I like my son's milk in a leak proof cup!

No way haha We give her a cup at dinner when she's in her chair ; ) Imagine lol at least for my dd.

DD prefers drinking from a straw but I purchased the straw sippies. Between DD and the dog's whip of a tail the expense of the carpet cleaner is far less than the one time expense to get some sippies.

I can't imagine just giving a cup. Even with a straw it'd tip over.
