My DD is not very into playing by herself. She always wants me near her, so I'm trying to encourage her to be a little more independent. Today we were playing with some Legos when she started to be absorbed by them. I sat on the couch... so far so good. After a few minutes she notices me and I tell her it's okay for her to play by herself, that I'm right here, and that "sometimes Mommy needs a little break."
DD said, "Mama, RoRo needs a break too," and climbed up on the couch next to me. This kid cracks me up!
