Traveling w/ your LO

Did you need anything as far as ID for you LO??  Like SS card or BC?  Also, how do they screen your LO?  Do you hold them and walk through the detector?  or do they walk through with them??

 Sorry for so many questions but we are flying w/ Robert in April for the first  time and I'm not sure how this is all going to work?

DS needed a passport when we took him to Europe. I think we just took his birth certificate when we flew domestic, as far as I remember.

If flying domestic then nothing. Just go to the airline desk when you get there to make sure you get "infant in arms" on your ticket. They will check that at security and make sure you are carrying your LO

We took his birth certificate but didn't need it. And we carried him through the scanner.

We flew within the US. DH wore Reid in the Bjorn through security with no problem. We didn't need any ID for him, but we brought the birth certificate just in case! It was much easier than I thought!
