I am going to be whooping these up again and wanted to share the recipe. It's really easy and they are so good. I'll be passing them out at work for Valentines. It's kind of a cheesy tradition here at work.
Oreo Truffles.
Ingredients:
1 Package of Oreos
2 Bars of Baker's Chocolate
1 Package of Cream Cheese (softened)
Set aside 8 Oreos. Put the rest of the Oreos in gallon size Ziplock baggy and crush with a rolling pin until fine crumbs. Add the entire package of cream cheese to the baggy and mush really good until its mixed really well.
Take the mush and roll into balls with your hands and place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. The balls should be no more than an inch big. Chill your balls for 1 hour.
While you wait take the Oreos you set aside and crush til fine in a small ziplock baggy. When it gets close to the hour start melting your chocolate slowly. I do mine in the microwave. Using 2 forks dip each ball in the chocolate and set back on the wax paper and sprinkle a little crush oreos on top. Place back in the fridge after your done. If I have left over chocolate I also will do a little drizzle over the crushed oreos just to make it look really fancy like I spent a lot of time on it. When your dont the only thing to clean up should be a microwavable bowl and 2 forks. I got some cellophane baggys in the dollar section at Target that I am going to put the Truffles in.
