Vacation and AF...a WWYD

Would you or wouldn't you go on vacation while on your period?

We can only go on vacation in May due to our outrageous schedules.The only week in May I have available is the first week which happens to be AF week. : (
Usually- I am bloated and somewhat crabby that week, and I don't picture my vacation being fun if I have that to deal with. Plus, this is Jamaica we are talking about, so I will probably be living in a bathing suit the whole time.
However, my period only last about two days (on the NuvaRing), and the vacation is a week long, so maybe I can manage.

YES.  There is no reason not to.  It is crazy not to!  It's freaking Jamaica and a little blood.  Surely the beaches and beverages (and whatever else you are in to) can help you work through your crabby mood.

I dont know how the ring works....can you skip a period like you can do with the pill?  But if it only lasts 2 days I would go regardless

I guess I'm being a bit of a baby about it, but the thought of being on AF on vacation just doesn't seem fun. DH is just going to have to deal with no "hot vacation sex" for a few days. ; )
 
But-- if that is the only option I have, I guess I'm going to take it. After all, I have been waiting to go somewhere nice for a while.

Not sure if I can. I just know I'm not the nicest person to deal with during AF time, and I don't want to be like that on vaca. But-- maybe being in a tropical environment will make me more calm. Here's to hoping!

ordinarily, i would say i wouldn't plan a vacation while on my period, but my period lasts a whole week.  if it was just two days (and the trip was a week long), i think i could manage going while on my period.

Check with your Dr...you might be able to do this and skip that month of AF

this has never ever played a role in planning vacations (which i do like 6 months in advance and i couldn't even begin to tell you when i'll start next month much less 6!) or any activity really.
