So I decided yesterday that I was going to walk my baby out. What better way to walk then shopping! I walked and walked and walked... starting having contractions around 3pm. They continued anywhere from 5- 10 minutes apart. More painful then the normal BH that I've been having. Went to bed around 10, got woken up with a huge contraction at 1am, again at 3 and 4am. I thought we were working toward something. Woke up this morning for work and NOTHING. Sigh. So ready to meet this little man, I just need to be a little more patient!
Anyone else having false hopes these last few days/ weeks?
Re: I thought we were working with something...
I hear you Hulagirl and I feel your pain!
I lost my MP over a week ago now, on 1/31 and then had contractions every hour for 8 hours, but they stopped. Also have a LOW pain right above my pubic bone that stops me in my tracks a few times a day. At my appointment on Tuesday, my doc said I was 2 cm dilated and I continued all week to have random contractions. So worried about the impending Blizzard, on Thursday, we loaded up the car with my 3 year old and luggage and drove to my mom's who is 5 minutes from the hospital. Then on Friday night, during the blizzard that dropped 28 inches of snow on us- I had contractions every 4 minutes for over an hour- but when we paged the doc on call, he never called back! (Turns out he was delivering several babies- evidently when the barometric pressure drops- so do babies)
LUCKILY the contractions stopped because I don't know that even an ambulance would have made it to my mom's house. Now, I continue to have random contractions, pains, and more discharge (sorry if TMI) but no baby! I know I'd be over 2 weeks early, but I am sick of all of these false alarms. Now we are expecting 12 additional inches of snow- I am just staying put at my mother's! I know the second we travel AWAY from the hospital- I will just need to turn around and come back. I wish you luck and lots of labor dust!
