Putting weight on legs?

I know some babies put weight on their legs right off the bat and others take much longer. My little mister has no interest whatsoever! We call him lazy legs...they just crumple under him when we hold him in a standing position. At what point do I become concerned? He kicks them like crazy when he's lying down in bed or on his tummy.

  • I don't know much about that but, if you're interested, you should look into a Kickin' Coaster.  It's like a bouncer-type seat (doesn't bounce though) with a platform at the end so the baby can kick off of it and the seat slides back to work his leg muscles.  We got Noah one for Christmas.

Maybe that will help get him more used to putting weight on his legs when you want to try to stand him up.  GL!  I'm sure it's not a major concern at this point.

  • Does he cry or seem like he is in pain at all when you try and stand him up?

    Nope not at all.

  • Abby started putting weight on her legs after she had been in the jumper and excersaucer a few days. I think it gave her confidence and showed her what her legs are for!
