where being a working mom can kind of stink. DD has had a problem with another stubborn ear infection. Finally we had to go to the antibiotic shots which are very painful -- the med is thick so hurts more, so much so they inject some lidocaine first. I went on Wednesday with her for her 2nd earcheck and she ended up having to get a second round of the shots. I had to hold her down while they did it. It was awful. She rebounded pretty good (thanks to copious amounts of chocolate) but still felt bad and just wanted me to hold her. She kept clinging to me at daycare saying "no, mommy, don't go. Let's go home."
Ugh. I knew she would be okay once I left and the antibiotics were kicking in (and she was). But it's tough leaving your LO who just seems so pathetic and looks awful too.
