Swings - 2nd time moms help?

Anyone have any experience with good or bad swings?

We registered already for the Graco Lovin' Hug Utopia while in BRU because my husband liked it but now I'm reading that it has pretty mixed reviews. But then I checked the much more favorable FP Little Lamb swing but its negatives are much the same as the Graco one.

Get the one that plugs in!!!!  Fisher Price makes a few different ones!  We have the rainforest model and LOVE it!  Never had to buy a battery. Our friends had twins in late October and have already spent over $100 on batteries.

I replied to the other swing post, too.  I have a FP swing, but the music function went out on it just months after using it.  The motor still powers the swing and the mobile still spins around, but it has no sound.  I can't recommend the FP swings.  However, I don't know much about the other brands to recommend a better one.

We have the Fisher Price Nature's Touch one.  We used it for DS.  He lived it, he loved it so much.  It does only take batteries but we only changed them three times max during the entire time that he used it.  And when I say he lived it, I mean he lived in it.  He was in it everyday.

Or you could always be smart and get rechargeable batteries.

I posted below but I have the loving hug in Utopia and thankfully we set it up before I deliver my twins because the motor is so loud and annoying I could here it two rooms away. Graco is sending me a new motor, hopefully that will solve the problem because I'm due any day and the swing was a PITA to set up, we don't want to have to take it apart again! It is really cute though!

We have a small house so we just bought the boppy travel swing and it was perfect for us. It was compact & we'd take it with to my mom's, we used it until DD was 6 mo. old & only had to change the batteries once & the music was not annoying.

We have the FP Papasan swing and never had a problem with it.  We also didn't have to change the batteries that much.  I'm happy with ours.

DC LOVED the FP papasan swing too. It has always gotten great reviews.
