Need some nap help...

So I am trying to figure out a way to get my little one to nap in a crib. He pretty much has to be held to go asleep or in a swing or in the car. This in and of itself doesn't bother me right now, but I am having a horrible time putting him down for naps. He goes to bed fine at night. He is swaddled at night, but I am hesitant to do it during naps as we know our swaddling time is almost up as he is almost rolling around. Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried putting him down awake but sleepy, putting him down after 10-15 minutes, pacifiers, rocking him back to sleep, putting his white noise maching on. It's only rarely that he will sleep for more than 5 minutes. However, he does sleep at the babysitter and she says she doesn't do anything special. Any ideas are welcome at this poiint

  • Try paying more attention to his awake times? I use the EASY method.

Here's my original post I wrote on sleep:

I learned a lot from the Baby Whisperer and BabyWIse methods.

  • I'd get more info from the babysitter.  If he really is napping there, then you know he's capable of it and there must be some difference between what she does and what you do.  Maybe she just leaves LO alone.  It took us a while to figure out that we needed to lay Drew down and leave the room.  He does so much better falling asleep when we're not there.
