growth u/s as an elder?

My fundal height hasn't changed in 3 weeks, so I'm having a growth ultrasound to check her size and my placenta's functionality.  My OB only does an u/s after 20 weeks in case of concern, so I'm a little freaked out by this, especially so late in the pregnancy.  Has anyone else had relatively normal growth (she was always a little small) and then have it drop off and get a growth u/s as an elder?

Re: growth u/s as an elder?

  • With my first pregnancy, I was measuring small and was sent for a growth u/s at 38 weeks. I remember being so worried! They estimated her weight at 6 lbs. 13 oz., and then she ended up going 10 days overdue and weighed a healthy 7 lbs. 8 oz.

Try not to let yourself get too worried before you have the u/s, as you could just be carrying small. Good luck!

  • I had one this morning after measuring small my at my last 2 OB appointments.  According to the growth u/s baby is not small at all estimated weight of 7lbs 7oz.  Try not to stress, I'm sure everything is fine :)
  • Thank you so, so much!  This is very reassuring info., mo matter how anecdotal - especially, Kristin, since your daughter is such a cute little lady.

    Thanks again!
